How we do it Have confidential meetings · each month, · at the executive’s choice of location, · for up to two and a half hours; Provide e-mail and telephone support throughout the month; Have quarterly member meetings for networking, identifying business opportunities and discussion of business issues; Provide access to a network of experts and consultants for · technical issues, · special projects, · new areas of business; Customise programs for professional and personal mentoring; Consult for specific projects at concessional rates; Provide periodic reviews of compliance with corporate and other applicable laws, if requested.  Role of the Mentor To listen; not to instruct; To help identify your options; not to decide for you; To discuss steps with you; not take steps for you; To help discover your own strength; not to rescue you; To help you choose; not to remove the difficult choices; To encourage and provide support for change; To contribute to a learning experience with you. Benefits of meeting every month Taking a strategic rather than a tactical view of the business; Identifying action to be taken and the necessary resources; Support in taking the hard decisions; An independent resource to improve decision-making; Increased accountability; Opportunities for personal and professional growth; Overcoming the isolation of position; Managing change; Networking opportunities.  Obtaining Value from the MPowering BMP It is the joint responsibility of the member and the mentor to ensure that value is given and received in the monthly sessions so that executives obtain tangible results for their investment in time and money. Monthly meeting agendas are prepared by the members themselves, thereby ensuring their critical issues are addressed. Periodically the mentor and the member will prepare an impact statement to clarify and monitor benefits obtained to date and outline expectations of personal and professional goals for the future. Your Investment You will need to set aside 2 to 2 and a half hours each month for the monthly meeting and an equal amount of time in preparation and follow-up. Retirement from the program requires one month’s notice, which is prepaid. Concessional consultancy rates for project work, if and when required.
